A delegation of 50 from the GCC to explore investment and business opportunities at the 10th Sarajevo Business Forum

A large delegation of 50 businessmen from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) announced the arrival to the Sarajevo Business Forum 2019. The delegation is headed by some of the most important corporations from this part of the world. Namely, the announced member corporations are THIQAH - The Islamic Development Bank Group Business Forum members, investors who have expressed interest in tourism, construction, industrial investment, infrastructure and agricultural production, as well as plastic, metal and paint production.

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), as the majority owner and shareholder of Bosna Bank International (BBI), established the THIQAH Business Forum with the aim of establishing a unique and innovative platform that will enable businesspeople to connect with each other and thus create new business opportunities. In order to improve businesses from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a Memorandum of Understanding between the IsDB Business Forum THIQAH and BBI Bank was signed in 2018, promoting investment opportunities through the Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) and Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF).

This year's jubilee Sarajevo Business Forum will be attended by a delegation of over 50 major private sector investors, led by Oussama Kaissi, General Director of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) and Mohamed Hedi Mejai, Director of IsDB Group's Investment Department.

Members of the IsDB Business Forum THIQAH are prominent businessmen and some of the wealthiest individuals of the Arab world. Many of them are among the most prominent business entities in the world, such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank, and others.
