Adnan Chilwan, Dubai Islamic Bank Group CEO, to speak at Sarajevo Business Forum 2019

Dr. Adnan Chilwan, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) Group CEO, one of the founders and shareholders of Bosna Bank International (BBI), confirmed his arrival to the 10th Sarajevo Business Forum 2019.

Dr. Chilwan was an honoured guest at one of the previous Sarajevo Business Forums, and this year he will speak at a special One on one session: Sustainable Development and Leadership Role. Dr. Chilwan is the CEO of the Dubai Islamic Bank Group since 2013 and has been nominated for the best CEO in 2015 at the CEO Awards, organized by the Finance Monthly magazine.

Dubai Islamic Bank was founded in 1975 and is the first bank in the world which adopted all Islamic banking laws and is the largest Islamic bank in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As such, it has won many prestigious awards for its business, among others, for investment banking.

As the largest Islamic bank, its total asset is about 105 billion KM including last year which is three times higher than the assets of the entire banking sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the same period, Dubai Islamic Bank's net profit was 1.9 billion KM, which is six times more than the net profit of the banking sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
