The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, confirmed his participation in the leading business and investment conference of Southeast Europe, Sarajevo Business Forum 2019, which will take place from April 17 to 19, 2019.
As a high-ranking official and guest of last year’s Forum, Pahor delivered a speech expressing the strong support of Republic of Slovenia towards Bosnia and Herzegovina in its efforts to become a member of the European Union and the NATO.
The Republic of Slovenia, which has been a member of the European Union since 2004, is one of the largest investors in BiH and thus significantly contributes to its economic growth and development. At this moment, there are about 500 Slovenian companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina, employing around 15,000 workers. The most important investors are Mercator d.d. Ljubljana, Petrol Slovenska Energetska Družba d.d. Ljubljana, Droga Kolinska Food industry d.d. Ljubljana and Triglav INT d.d..
Businessmen from Slovenia and other EU member states announced their arrival at the tenth, jubilee Sarajevo Business Forum, organized by Bosna Bank International (BBI) Sarajevo in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group, under the auspices of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well.
