On the occasion of December 5, the International Volunteer Day, which was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1985, the web platform “Trebalsta.ba” and smartphone mobile applications were officially promoted in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since the beginning of the 2021/22 school year, 196 students from almost all high-schools in Canton Sarajevo have registered on the web platform https://Trebalsta.ba, and the number is growing every day. From August until today, the students spent 491 volunteer hours helping on more than 20 projects.

Trebalsta.ba is a web-platform initiated by Bosna Bank International (BBI) in partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Canton Sarajevo and in cooperation with the organisations Dobro.ba, Pomozi.ba, and with the technical help of Ping d.o.o. company.

Students can register online through the web platform and apply to volunteer on projects of partner organisations and associations. Every month the platform recognises the most active volunteers. Interested associations and organisations can also register and promote their projects to high-school students from in Canton Sarajevo.
