Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) will be held in Sarajevo, with official opening on Wednesday, April 17, and will gather leading business and political leaders from the region and the world. The Forum will be opened by the CEO of Bosna Bank International Amer Bukvić, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor and Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
The Forum’s guests such as Igor Crnadak (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Dr. Ahmet Davutoğlu (former Prime Minister of Turkey), Dr. Mujahid Yusof Rawa (Minister of Enterprise Development of Malaysia, Lahcen Daoudi (Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kingdom of Morocco), and Kemal Purišić (Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of Montenegro) will discuss about the role of leaders and co-operation and development for the purpose of the economic progress.
Also, at the conference will address the possibilities of overcoming the challenges that are facing South East European businesses, where expert opinions will be shared by Stjepan Mesić (former President of the Republic of Croatia), Mohd Redzuan bin Md Yusof (Minister of Entrepreneurship Development of Malaysia), Šekib Avdagić (President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce - ITO), Ivan Ivanišević (General Director for Multilateral Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro), Sven Petke (Director of the office of Konrad Adenauer Foundation), Gjergj Murra (the Executive Director of the Western Balkans Fund), as well as many other representatives of the business and political area from the world and the region.
The special emphasis of this year's Forum will be on sustainable development, to which the introductory speech will be given by Dr. Adnan Chilwan (Dubai Islamic Bank Group CEO). At the panel discussion, this topic will be addressed by Oussama Kaissi (General Director of the Islamic Investment and Export Insurance Corporation), Sandrine Friscia (EIB - European Investment Bank representative for BiH and Montenegro), Meliha Muherin (Project Manager of the Center for the European Perspective of Slovenia).
Expressing interest for cooperation and investment in the region, many leaders from the world of politics as well as large number of delegations from countries around the world have responded to the invitation of the SBF organizers. Abdul Rahman Al Zamil (the head of Saudi Arabia's Zamil Group), Ahmed Maktoum (president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, CEO and chairman of the Emirates Group, chairman of Dubai World), Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Shaibani (CEO and Executive Director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai), and business delegations from Turkey, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, many member states of the European Union, and large political and business delegations from Malaysia, as well as the delegation of the Islamic Development Bank's Business Forum (THIQAH), which brings many investors from the GCC countries, confirmed their arrivals to the jubilee 10th Sarajevo Business Forum.
During the three-day Forum, presentations of the SBF sponsors and partners will be held, with B2B meetings to be held for networking and developing new business opportunities. Special attention will be given to the economic potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the whole region, as well as to the potential of Bosnian diaspora and their investment potentials. The last day of the Forum will see the final of the youth business competition SBF Start-up Challenge.
