BBI business club gathered more than 120 businessman in Goražde

BBI bank and BBI VIP Business Club, special division of the bank for the organisation of meetings with businessmen, organised business meetings "New opportunities for business, sustainable return of the minorities and finding partners and markets". The meetings, held on 8th April, were attended by more than 120 businessmen from Podrinje region.

The meetings in Goražde were one in the line of events organised by BBI bank with an aim to expand cooperation between local businessmen, strengthen business connections and improve conditions for a posible growing presence of local businessmen on the markets of Turkey and Saudi Arabia through cooperation with the partners of BBI VIP Business Club, "BIGMEV" and "Mostovi nade" foundations.

"BBI banks wishes to strengthen  business activities and funding of those activities on three strategic destinations in 2013; namely; in Mostar, Brčko and Goražde. We have presented new opportunities for business as a kind of preparation for Sarajevo Business Forum that will be held on 17th May. It is our desire to demonstrate the potential of this region of BiH to the investors. There is plenty of room for the development of tourism potential, agriculture and energy sector; moreover, the representatives of the BPC Government gave an interesting presentation of the road infrastructure potential. In that sense, we can see Goražde as a backbone of the development of the region and with that the entire BiH; and, we should portray and develop it as such in our future", said Amer Bukvić, CEO of BBI, in his address to the businessmen.

Although the primary activity of the bank is financing, BBI organises these events in order to  connect businessmen, strengthen the local companies by opening new markets, and in that way assist the development of the BH economy, Bukvić pointed out.

The bank representatives presented current financing lines of the Bank with a particular emphasis on the World Bank and Turkish lines, and BIGMEV and "Mostovi nade" foundations activities which aim to connect the markets of BiH, Turkey and the Middle East. Numerous companies established contacts and started production through BBI VIP Business Club.

Chairman of the Board of "Mostovi nade" Foundation, Rašid Zorlak, encouraged the businessmen to follow the examples of "Vispak", whose products are placed on the Saudi Arabia markets, "Klas", who will also export their products to the Gulf markets, and "Mak Zara", "Fana" from Srebrenika and "Bimal" from Brčko, which can serve as an illustration of the successful cooperation with this foundation.

Dr. Selmo Cikotić has, while presenting BIGMEV - centre for the development of the relations between Turkey and BiH, pointed out that BiH is abundant in still unused water recourses and underling that water is a strategic global resource. Representatives of the leading exporters from BPC region, "Prevent" and "Bekto Preciza", talked about positive experiences. Nihad Imamovic, the owner of EIN group, offered to buy off Goražde apples.

Nedim Džano, Head of the Division for Fruits and Vegetables of the USAID Farma project, also addressed the gathered audience, pointing out the possibility for cooperation and help for the production and purchase of fruits and vegetables from this area.

Emir Frašto, Prime Minister of the BP Canton, Muhamed Ramović, Mayor of the Goražde Municipality and Demir Imamović, Minister of Economy of BP Canron, also talked about the significance of this meeting and expressed their gratitude to BBI bank and its efforts to assist the development of the economy of BiH and Podrinje region.
