The second halal industry exhibition – Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2019 that will be held in the capital of Sarajevo, 26-28 was presented to Macedonian companies in Skopje.

The fair was presented to Macedonian businessmen by Ms. Azra Čolić (BBI VIP Business Club) and Mr. Nermin Hadžić (Agency for Halal Quality Certification of BiH) on behalf of the organizers – Bosna Bank International (BBI), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the IsDB Group Business Forum – THIQAH.

The presentation was organized in cooperation with the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce / Stop and the Chamber of Commerce of Northern Macedonia. The audience was introduced to the program of the fair, while numerous delegations announced already their participation at the event. They were also briefed about expectations, potentials and trends of the halal industry in the region and worldwide. Last year, several Macedonian companies participated in the Fair,  whereby the Macedonian company “Uka-komerc” from Skopje even won the SHF 2018 prize for the best booth according to the visitors’ choice.

“One of the goals of Sarajevo Halal Fair is to help exhibitors find their way to buyers. Reflecting upon last year’s results and experiences, SHF has proven to be a great platform for connecting businessmen, distributors, establishing contacts and cooperation. We expect more than 100 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors, and we are especially looking forward to our guests and exhibitors from Macedonia,” Čolić explained.

Nermin Hadžić from the BiH Halal Quality Certification Agency presented the experiences of companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina. With BiH as leader of the halal industry in Southeast Europe, there is a lot to share when it comes to challenges companies face. He also explained the certification  process and emphasized the importance of harmonizing practices and standards on market.

So far, participants from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, France, Lithuania, and other countries have confirmed their participation at the Sarajevo Halal Fair 2019.
