Bosna Bank International (BBI) d.d. Sarajevo, with the support of its partners and in cooperation with Hayat TV, launched a reality TV show competition for university teams called The SBF Start-Up Challenge.
This filmed competition will provide young people an opportunity to start their own businesses. The prize fund amounts to more than 60.000 KM and also includes marketing services, legal support, and professional education. Qualified participants are students or graduates from one BiH’s universities and are up to 30 years of age.
University teams and their business ideas will be judged by an expert jury composed of respected BiH businessmen and leaders from the country’s most important companies. The competition will be filmed and broadcasted by Hayat TV. Winning teams will have an opportunity to attend and present their business plans and ideas to potential international and regional investors at the jubilee 10th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) 2019, which will be held from 17-19 April 2019 in Sarajevo.
"We want to induce young people to compete while popularizing entrepreneurship and promoting positive values. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship and motivate university-educated young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina to engage in entrepreneurial activities. We want young people to think about how to become employers—how to cash in their knowledge—through their own entrepreneurial ventures and how to start and run their own businesses," said the project creator Amer Bukvić, CEO of BBI Bank, adding that he hopes smart young people will take advantage of this opportunity.
Completed applications together with all supporting documents should be e-mailed no later than January 4, 2019 to SBFtakmicenje@sarajevobusinessforum.com.
