The most important investors from the European Union will talk about diaspora's potential for regional development at the Sarajevo Business Forum. Regional Platform for Attracting International Investors round-table participants will discuss how to globally promote the region as an investment destination and to define what specific advantages of South East Europe are.
"The diaspora's potential is enormous. We have top world experts from all sectors such as economy, science and society. I believe there are many citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region who are ready to come to their homeland and invest in production facilities. BBI Bank has previously established cooperation with the World Diaspora Alliance of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in this way, we want to help our citizens to realize their business ideas in Bosnia and Herzegovina, open new jobs and successfully do business. There is a great interest in the arrival of business people from the Diaspora at this year's SBF. We already have confirmation of arrivals from Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Austria, Holland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway," said Amer Bukvić, CEO of Bosna Bank International, adding that BBI Bank will try to make it easier for our business people to start business and use their experience and knowledge.
According to the data of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by bank transfers, the Bosnian diaspora sends about three billion marks annually to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the same data indicate that Bosnian diaspora, during their visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina, is leaving the same amount.
The Sarajevo Business Forum is organized by the BBI Bank in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and other partners under the patronage of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the tenth year in a row. The three-day business and investment conference will be held from 17th to 19th April 2019 in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
