Sarajevo Business Forum 2019, the largest business and investment conference in South East Europe this year brought together about 2,000 guests from 50 different countries. During three days of the conference, 350 projects were presented and more than 450 business meetings were held.
"It is a great pleasure to say that the Sarajevo Business Forum is constantly growing and attracting more investors every year. The aim of the Forum is to change the image of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also of the region and I can say that we have succeeded in doing so. Investors that came once, come back every year after," said Amer Bukvić, CEO of Bosna Bank International, adding that there is a big opportunity for many SBF businessmen to present their project ideas to foreign investors, for them as well as for the entire economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bukvić emphasized that the main focus of this year's Forum was on young people and their project ideas. As part of the three-day conference, this topic was discussed a lot.
"This year, we focused on young people who, unfortunately, increasingly decide to build their career beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The mission of all of us is to give them an opportunity to succeed in their homeland and together with us, to get involved in building a better future for Bosnia and Herzegovina", added Bukvić.
This year's SBF has announced a number of projects from the IT sector, wood industry, agriculture, energy, construction, services, tourism and other development sectors.
Representatives of foreign delegations, during the Forum, especially emphasized that BiH is a country worth investing in as a geopolitical, stable country with well-educated and capable labor force.
For the end, Bukvić expressed his gratitude to the speakers and panelists for the experiences they shared with participants and to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, numerous ministries, embassies, federal institutions, chambers, investors and media for their support over the last ten years.
